Functionalized Magnetic Nanohybrids: Synthetic Approaches, Biomedical and Environmental Applications provides a comprehensive overview of the basic principles, fabrication, self-assembling strategies, and potential applications of magnetic nanohybrids in the fields of biomedicine, sensors, and environmental remediation. Sections cover an introduction to the synthesis methods, functionalization, and characterization of magnetic nanohybrids, focus on the potential applications of these nanostructured materials in the biomedical field and for the removal of environmental pollutants, and cover challenges associated with fabrication techniques, and in the application of magnetic nanohybrids.

She earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from Government College University Faisalabad Pakistan in 2016 and carried out research work at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. She is interested in synthesizing molecules that possess interesting functions, including biological activity (natural products, drugs, drug-like compounds etc.) or materials with useful properties. She develops tools to perform efficient synthetic transformations in creating novel molecular architectures of medicinal or industrial relevance. In a nutshell, my interests are broadly in synthetic organic chemistry, with a particular focus on the synthesis of bioactive natural products and novel molecular architectures (nanomaterials). She worked on organic synthesis focused on catalysis, visible light photoredox couplings, transition metal-catalyzed -couplings, and click chemistry. Synthesis of nanomaterials and their applications to control environmental pollution is also her area of interest. Abdulhadi Baykal (Ph.D) is Professor and chairman of Nanomedicine Department at Institute of Research and Medical Consultation (IRMC) of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc. degree in 1991 (Chemistry Education of Middle East Technical University, Ankara-Turkey). He completed his MSc degree and Ph.D (both in Chemistry) in 1995 and in 1999 respectively. He became Assistant Professor in 2002, Associate Professor in 2009 and Professor in 2014 (Fatih University, Istanbul). He has more than 26 years of teaching and research experience in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Magnetic Nanomaterials, Instrumental Analysis, Inorganic Chemistry, Nanomedicine, Cancer Therapy, etc. His major research is the synthesis, characterization, and application (plant uptake, microwave absorber, recyclable nano catalyst, cancer treatment) of magnetic nanomaterials. He has published more than 440 papers in science indexed journals. He supervised 33 master and 4 Ph.D theses.
