Dr. Anthony Duben is a retired Professor of Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, TX) and Professor Emeritus of Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University (Cape Girardeau, MO). He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University and his B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Marquette University. His work in the profession includes research in quantum chemistry, photophysics of excited states, heterogeneous catalysis, carbohydrate chemistry, NMR, instrumentation construction, and computer interfacing. He has written numerous reviews of books and papers for Computing Reviews and serves as a referee for the Journal of Chemical Education. He also served his universities in administrative capacities as Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Associate Dean of the College of Science at Southeast Missouri State University and later as Dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics at Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Duben now resides in Tallahassee, FL.
