In today's society researchers are more focused on cleaner materials production for environmental sustainability. This approach aims at reducing waste and the development of materials with enhanced properties and functionality. This book focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes for sustainable composite materials. It discusses optimum utilization of resources by using minimum effort to save cost and energy.

Dr. Gurminder Singh

Gurminder Singh is currently working as an assistant professor at the mechanical engineering department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He worked as a postdoc researcher in the school of mechanical and materials engineering at University College Dublin (UCD), Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining UCD, Dr Singh was a Postdoc fellow at SIMAP Lab, University of Grenoble Alpes, France, where his research focused on the experimental and simulation studies of the extrusion 3D printing of metals. Dr Singh was Gandhian young Technological Innovation Award for the development of 3D printing method for the fabrication of patient-specific stents in 2020. Dr. Singh obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. His PhD work was focused on the development of low-cost rapid manufacturing technique using ultrasonic vibration assisted sintering and 3D printing. His PhD work was featured by 3D Print website in Feb 2020 edition. He has completed his ME from Thapar University, India. He has done work on the comparison of modern controllers for the swing-up and stabilization of inverted pendulum and was a team member in the Indo-Swedish project on exoskeletons. He has completed his bachelors from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, India in Production Engineering. Dr. Singh is also having research fellow experience at IIT Delhi and production engineer experience at Shakunt Enterprises, India. He has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. He has published in leading journals such as Additive Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering: A, Journal of Manufacturing Processes, Rapid Prototyping, etc.

Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh

Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh has a teaching experience of more than 8 years. Dr. Singh completed the Doctoral research from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2020. During his Doctoral research, he has developed a novel bone drilling machine, working on the principle of rotary ultrasonic machining and orthopaedic drilling which can eliminate mechanical and thermal damages (like thermal osteonecrosis, microcracks and hole inaccuracy) to bone surface during drilling (a patent for the same has been filed). Dr. Singh has 16 publications with 148 citation and h-index of 7 and has published his work in peer-reviewed journals of high repute including Annals of Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering & Physics, Proceeding of the institution of Mechanical Engineering Part H, and Journal of Biomedical Materials Part B.

Dr. Neeraj Sharma

Dr. Sharma completed his B.Tech. M.Tech. and PhD in 2006, 2012 and 2017 respectively. He is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, M.M. Engineering College, Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana since 2017. He has three years of Industrial experience and 12 years of teaching experience. Dr. Sharma has 120+ publications with 1733 citation and h-index of 24, His areas of interest are Biomaterials, Composite and Advanced Manufacturing. He has published more than 100 research articles in reputed journals/conferences. He has already published a few patents/copyrights. Out of them three have been awarded.
