Dr Sujit Mandal is Professor of Geography and Former Dean at the Faculty of Science at Diamond Harbour Women’s University, India. He completed his PhD thesis on the topic of slope instability in the Shivkhola Watershed of Darjeeling Himalaya, or, more broadly, the management of land, water and soil, in 2013, and specializes in applied geomorphology and environmental hazards. He is the author of more than 70 journal articles and five books. Samrat Majumdar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography of Malda Women’s College, India, completed his MSc in geography with a specialization in fluvial geomorphology in 2013, and received his PhD from the University of Gour Banga, India, in 2021. He is the author of several journal articles.
