Fire-Resistant Paper
CRC Press (Verlag)
978-0-367-70005-8 (ISBN)
Discusses characterization, properties, and synthesis of ultralong hydroxyapatite nanowires and compares them with cellulose fibers
Describes steps to design and create fire-resistant paper
Covers a variety of function-based fire-resistant paper, including antibacterial, magnetic, photoluminescent, among others
Examines a host of applications, such as paper for anti-counterfeiting, encryption and decryption, environmental, energy, and biomedical uses
Considers commercialization potential and future prospects
This book is aimed at materials scientists, chemical engineers, industrial chemists, and other researchers from across the scientific and engineering disciplines interested in the development of this exciting alternative to traditional paper.
Ying-Jie Zhu received Ph. D. from University of Science and Technology of China in 1994. He worked as Visiting Professor at University of Western Ontario, Canada, Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at Fritz-Haber Institute, Germany, and Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Utah and University of Delaware, USA, from 1997 to 2002. Then, he was selected by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) under the Program for Recruiting Overseas Outstanding Talents and became a full professor at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS. In 2007, he was selected under the Program of Outstanding Leader of Shanghai Subject Chief Scientist. He has published more than 360 peer-reviewed journal papers and three book chapters. From 2014 to 2019, he was among the Elsevier’s annual list of Most Cited Chinese Researchers for six consecutive years. In addition, he has more than 60 patents granted. His main research interests focus on nanostructured biomaterials and a new kind of fire-resistant paper based on ultralong hydroxyapatite nanowires.
