Albert Petrov holds a Ph. D. in Theoretical Physics (1997, Tomsk, Russia), and is currently a professor at the Federal University of Paraiba (Joao Pessoa, Brazil). He works in several areas of quantum field theory and gravity and has published more than 100 papers in international scientific journals. His focal points of scientific interest are supersymmetry, Lorentz symmetry breaking and modified gravity.
Introduction.- Effective action and loop expansion: general formulation.- Superfield description of three-dimensional supersymmetric theories.- Four-dimensional superfield supersymmetry.- Supersymmetry breaking.- Conclusions.
"The exposition is comprehensive and the calculations are explicit at each step, thus making the book pedagogical and valuable also for the non-expert reader. Many explicit examples are worked out in detail, both in three and in four dimensions." (Niccolò Cribiori, Mathematical Reviews, September, 2022)
