The second covers additional skills such as handling samples, drying and ashing, solvent extraction and rotary evaporation. Links to informative websites are also included. A series of five Practical Laboratory Skills Training Guides has also been produced. Ideal as an accompaniment to the CD-ROMs, the titles are: Measurement of Mass; Measurement of Volume; Measurement of pH; High Performance Liquid Chromatography; and Gas Chromatography. The guides are written by experienced scientists and include minimal theory, plenty of practical exercises in order to assess competence, and trouble shooting information.
