W. Scott Hopkins is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He earned his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, in 2006, specializing in high-resolution molecular beam spectroscopy. He conducted postdoctoral research in molecular spectroscopy and dynamics at Queen’s University, Canada, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford, and his current research focuses on combining ion mobility, mass spectrometry, and laser spectroscopy. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and patents, and he has earned both the Keith Laidler Award of the Canadian Society for Chemistry and the PerkinElmer Award of the Canadian Society for Analytical Sciences and Spectroscopy.
