This volume celebrates the 80th birthday of Professor Vladimir Isaakovitch Keilis-Borok, one of the most eminent geophysicists of our time, and the Editor-in-Chief of Vychislitel'naya Seysmologiya, the prestigious seismological journal published in Russian. To honor Professor Keilis-Borok, this volume contains the unedited articles not only from well-known Russian scientists, but those written by many prominent scientists around the world.
