Proceedings of the Eighth Ovarian Workshop on Regulatory Processes and Gene Expression in the Ovary, sponsored by Serono Symposia, USA, held July 12 to 14, 1990 in Maryville, Tennessee
The latest developments in ovarian physiology are presented in this book. Based on a proceedings from the Ovarian Workshop developed by Dr. A. Rees Midgley and held biennially since 1976, the contributions will be of interest to all those concerned with the ovarian field. The book focuses on the expression of hormonally and non-hormonally controlled genes involved in the functional and morphological differentiation of cells forming the ovary. It also examines the signaling mechanisms by which endogenous and exogenous hormones and cytokines affect ovarian differentiation and steroidogenesis.
