Applications of Microdialysis in Pharmaceutical Science focuses on the use of microdialysis in drug evaluation for different organs and tissues and pharmacokinetics. Introducing the basic principles of microdialysis, the book also covers quantification and validation, analytical considerations, pharmacodynamic studies, pharmacokinetics, clinical aspects, and other applications of microdialysis. Ideal for analytical chemists, pharmacists, and pharmacologists, this book uses easy-to-understand models and examples for readers, as well as thorough coverage of applications of microdialysis in preclinical and clinical evaluation of drug pharmacology.

Tung-Hu Tsai, PhD , is a Professor at the Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan. He has published more than 200 papers in the field of pharmaceutical analysis, herbal medicine, and pharmacokinetics. Dr. Tsai's current research focuses on the mechanisms of pharmacokinetic pathways, emphasizing hepatobiliary excretion and barrier transportation.
