The equine professional must interpret conditions, time samples and handle samples correctly. In this study, international specialists explore the value of the measurement of the blood and muscle variables for the assessment of fitness and conditioning effects as well as of health disorders.
While it is possible to measure an increasing number of variables, the problem for the equine professional centres on the correct interpretation of values, the optimal timing of sampling and the handling of sample specimens until they are in a good laboratory. In this study, international specialists provide an insight into the value of the measurement of the blood and muscle variables for the assessment of fitness and conditioning effects as well as of health disorders.
