NLN developed Practice Tests for RN programs are nationally standardized tests designed to measure students’ achievement in various content areas of the nursing curriculum. They enable faculty to evaluate specific course or program objectives and to compare the scores of students in their program with those of nursing students across the country.
PURPOSE:
Assesses understanding of concepts basic to the care of adult clients and their families, including prevention and health promotion, early detection, care management, health maintenance and restoration, and psychosocial aspects of health care. Emphasis is on the nurse’s role in providing care to adults experiencing alterations in fluid and gas transport; metabolic, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and renal function; fluid and electrolyte imbalances; and pre- and postoperative care.
