Molly Altman, PhD, CNM, MPH, FACNM is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She has published extensively in the area of reproductive health care, with a strong emphasis on anti-racism and addressing bias within health care settings. She has co-authored one book chapter and has 35 article publications, 15 of which are first author publications,' two of which received national awards. She has 18 years of clinical practice as a nurse midwife in both pregnancy/birth and sexual/reproductive health care settings, and has taught all of these topics to advanced practice nursing students over the past 10 years as faculty.' Ellen Solis, DNP, CNM, ARNP, FACNM is a Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Ellen is the program director of UW’s Nurse-Midwfery DNP program and directs the School of Nursing’s Graduate Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She has over 23 years of experience as a nurse and midwife and has been an advocate for equity in sexual and reproductive health for the entirety of her career. She has published articles and a textbook chapter aimed at healping clinicians expand their practice, reduce their biases, and commincate effectively with clients. In addition to working as a clinican and advocate, Ellen is dedicated to bringing these subjects to her students and improving the education of nurses and advance practice providers nationwide.'
