Key Features:
1) Provides in-depth understanding of cell signaling, exploring its complexities and impact on human health and disease.
2) Introduces fundamental principles of cell communication, emphasizing the different signaling molecules and their various transmission pathways.
3) Focuses on complex structures and functions of receptors, highlighting their essential role in intercellular communication and regulating cellular behavior.
4) Examines the molecular aspects of cell surface adhesion receptors, elucidating protein-protein interactions, signaling cascades, and enzyme-substrate interactions.
5) Discusses the impact of cell signaling on inflammation, cancer, endocrine, and neurological disorders.
Dr Adeeb Shehzad is currently Associate Professor at Biodiversity Unit, Research Center, Dhofar University, Oman and OIC of Lab of Biochemistry at Department of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences, SMME, NUST, Pakistan. He obtained his B.Pharmacy from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2003. He completed his MS and Ph.D degree from Kyungpook National University, South Korea (2008–2014). He has published over 100 scientific publications and book chapters in refereed journals. Before joining NUST, Dr Adeeb has worked production pharmacist at Glaxo Smith Kline Pvt Ltd, Karachi, Pakistan and Medicraft Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd, Peshawar, Pakistan from 2003-2007. His research interest is mainly oriented to the screening and development of plant isolated compounds as anticancer agents, as well as investigating the modulation of different signaling pathways in different types of cancers causing drug resistance and poor prognosis. Dr Adeeb is also interesting in development of kits for diagnosis and drug release patches with validation in animal models. Dr Adeeb is working as Editorial board member for several journals and has authored two books with international publishers. He received a number of national and international awards in academics and research.
