This comprehensive and timely book offers a systemic holistic view of the musculoskeletal regeneration patient and the condition. Understanding that every patient and case is unique, this work fills a crucial gap in current literature by emphasizing the need for personalized treatment plans that respect and work with the body's natural processes and potential for self-healing. Cover a comprehensive exploration of the scientific principles and practical applications in the cutting-edge fields of orthopedics and regenerative medicine. This book is distinctive as it provides a unique combination of biology, chemistry, and physics principles applied to musculoskeletal regeneration, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Musculoskeletal Regeneration Medicine provides a unique, comprehensive, and accessible resource for those seeking to understand and apply the latest discoveries and techniques in this exciting area of healthcare. The book is aimed at medical professionals, researchers, and students, equipping readers with a broad understanding of the core principles and techniques currently revolutionizing orthopedics and regeneration medicine. From stem cell technologies, growth factor injections, bracing, and surgical realignment to a detailed understanding of the biological intricacies that drive cell regeneration, this text provides an in-depth, interdisciplinary perspective.
Prof Paul Lee is a visiting Professor of Sports Medicine from the School of Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Lincoln and Medical Engineering with the School of Physical, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, University of Chester. He is the founding Medical Director of MSK Doctors and London Cartilage Clinic in Harley Street London as well as a double board-certified consultant orthopedic surgeon in Europe both for the NHS and privately and has successfully treated many premiership footballers.
Professor Lee is a published expert in the field of regenerative medicine and is internationally recognized, at the International Cartilage Regeneration Society Teaching Centre of Excellence for cartilage and joint preservation surgery. As a Regional Surgical Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he engages with medical teaching and offers support to students to develop surgical skills. Has an excellent track record in research, publications, and grantfunding securing over a million of grant funding for the development of the MSK Doctors research center in the heart of Lincolnshire, which introduced the only dedicated musculoskeletal open MRI scanner to Lincolnshire. As a champion of the Regeneration Principle, he has developed the STARR technique for tissue repair and the proprietary algorithm MSK regeneration. He has been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines and is regularly chosen for interviews by local and national media for regeneration, sports, cartilage, and musculoskeletal expertise.
