The issue begins with general overviews on evidence-based medicine and the principles used in evaluating scientific evidence. Systematic reviews then evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for a variety of geriatric mental health disorders. In particular, geriatric depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, late-life substance use disorders, schizophrenia, and psychosis associated with dementia and Parkinson's Disease are discussed.
