Preserving good skin condition has significant quality of life implications for diabetic patients, especially for those suffering from related ulcers or diabetic foot syndrome. Prof. Dr. med. Klaus Fritz, MD, is founder and Consultant at the Dermatology and Laser Consulting Center in Landau, Germany, and Vice and past President of the German Academy of Dermatology (DDA), Associate Univ.-Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", Romania, and Board certified Specialist in Dermatology, Allergy, Venerology, Phlebology and Environmental Medicine. He is also Secretary General of the ESCAD (European Society of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology), Founding Board Member 5 Continent Congress (5 CC) for Aesthetics and Dermatology, , President of DERM Conference, Frankenthal, Germany, and Salzburg, Austria as well as past Board member and past Committee Chair of EADV, and past President of ESLD (European Society for Laser Dermatology).
Professor George-Sorin Tiplica is Head of the 2nd Department of Dermatology at the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest/ Romania. He is actively involved in medical, educational, and research activities. Dr. Tiplica served as Research and Development Director of the Colentina Clinical Hospital and is President of the Romanian Association of Dermatology and Venereology. He is actively involved in the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) as President of the "Wound Healing Multidisciplinary Joint Committee." Prof. Tiplica is the Chair of the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections, European branch. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of SPIN and was involved in this year's Congress development. Prof. Tiplica represented Romania on the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Board of Directors and served on EADV's Executive Committee and Finance Committee. He became a Councilor for the International Psoriasis Council in 2019. He is interested in inflammatory skin diseases, wound healing, and sexually transmitted infections.
