Sir Thomas Lewis has become one of the foremost cardiologists of the century. He was an early user of the newly invented electrocardiograph to diagnose heart disease and was a pioneer of cardiac electro-physiology. This biography recounts his scientific career, together with accounts of his hospital work and teaching, and his family life and hobbies.
