After retiring from the Army in 2004, he assumed the position as the Program Director of the VCU-Fairfax Family Practice Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Howard has over 10 years of experience in the offi ce practicing sports medicine as well as field side coverage at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Janus D. Butcher, MD, FACSM, works at The Duluth Clinic in the Department of Orthopedics.
