She is Chief of the Department of Paediatrics in Novara and she is the Director of Postgraduate School of Paediatrics at University of Piemonte Orientale. From 2013 to 2015 she was the Coordinator of the Italian Study Group on Diabetes of Italian Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology (ISPED) and she was in the panel of experts for the Italian guidelines on "Treatment of Diabetic Ketoacidosis", "Treatment of Pediatric Diabetes by Insulin Pumps", "Treatment of Hypoglycaemia in Pediatric Diabetes" and "Guidelines on physical activity in paediatric patients with diabetes mellitus". From 2017 to 2019 she was Vice President of ISPED. Her main interests are focused on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, lipid metabolism, and obesity. Ivana Rabbone is an active member of the Italian Societyof Paediatrics (SIP), the Italian Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ISPED), and the Italian Society of Diabetes (SID). She is author or coauthor of more than 200 publications on national and international journals.
Dario Iafusco is Associated Professor in the Department of Woman, Child and General and Specialistic Surgery of University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" of Naples, Italy and works in the Regional Pediatric Diabetology Center "G. Stoppoloni" of the University Hospital of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli". He is Professor of "Pediatrics" at the Course of Degree in "Medicine in English" of this University.
From 2007 to 2009 Dario Iafusco was the Coordinator of the Italian Study Group on Diabetes of Italian Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology (ISPED) and he was in the panel of experts for the Italian guidelines on "Treatment of Diabetic Ketoacidosis", "Treatment of Pediatric Diabetes by Insulin Pumps","Treatment of Hypoglycaemia in Pediatric Diabetes" and "Guidelines on physical activity in paediatric patients with diabetes mellitus". From 2014 to 2016 he was Vice President of ISPED and from 2016 to 2018 he was General Secretary of ISPED. From 2020 to 2022 he is Vice President of "Diabete Italia".
