This book, through providing in-depth knowledge of the morphology of rare facial clefts, aims to contribute towards the establishment of personalized and individualized therapeutic practices in highly complex cases of facial clefts, and the improvement of the rehabilitation process for the patients.

Autor

Dr Priscila Padilha Moura is a collaborative researcher in clinical genetics and craniofacial syndromes at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Genetics, Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, Brazil. She is also a collaborating professor at the Postgraduate Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, Brazil. Dr Roseli Maria Zechi-Ceide is a specialist in human and molecular genetics, certified by the Brazilian Society of Genetics. She works at the Department of Clinical Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, Brazil, focusing on isolated craniofacial anomalies and syndromic disorders. The late Dr. Antonio Richieri-Costa studied at São Paulo State University, Brazil. His initial training was as a neurologist, and he later completed his PhD in genetics. His research focused on genetics, embryology, neurology, dysmorphology, and craniofacial development.Dr Adriano Porto Peixoto earned his PhD in dental sciences from the School of Dentistry of Araraquara-UNESP, Brazil. He has experience in orthodontics and works at the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, Brazil.Dr Cristiano Tonello has a PhD in clinical surgery from the University of São Paulo’s Medical School, Brazil. He works as Chief Medical Officer Otolaryngologist and Maxillocraniofacial Surgeon at the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, Brazil.Dr Daniela Garib is an associate professor of orthodontics at the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies and Bauru School of Dentistry, Brazil. She specializes in dentistry, orthodontics, digital images, rapid maxillary expansion, cleft lip and palate and the interrelationship between orthodontics and periodontics.
