She has co-authored two books, Client Education: Theory and Practice (1st ed.) and Critical Thinking Applied to Nursing, in addition to articles and conference presentations.' She has received two distinguished service awards, one from Metropolitan State College of Denver and one from the State of Colorado Office of Youth Services.'
