This book serves as a bridge between dental implantologists and the various medical specialities that focus on the head and neck area. It highlights the advances made by the evolution of osseointegrated implants and the major procedures impacted by the wide spread use of this kind of implant. Emerging modalities like 3D implants alongside the easy-to-use and practical osseointegrated implant are explored in their usage of aiding numerous complicated surgeries. Written for practicing professionals within plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, ENT surgery, oral surgery, dentistry, and other professions that deal with surgery of the head and neck area, this text will elevate the usage of implants for easier, more cosmetically pleasing patient outcomes.
While this book will provide an overview of some major cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, it will also touch upon distraction osteogenesis, atrophic jaws, and massive reconstructions. All supplemented by contributions and real patient photos from some of the biggest and leading names in Plastic Surgery, Oral Surgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery.
