Vanhoenacker is a staff radiologist at the Department of Radiology at General Hospital Sint-Maarten Mechelen, and a Guest Professor of Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Antwerp's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and Ghent University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Filip Vanhoenacker graduated as a medical doctor from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, in 1987.
