Many herbal treatments are chemical substances that are physiologically active but are not involved in the growth and development of the herbs themselves. Jirapornchai Suksaeree, PhD, is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy at Rangsit University, Thailand, where he is also a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. His research interests are polymer science, polymer synthesis, pharmaceutical science, drug delivery systems, and cosmeceuticals, and he has over 100 research publications, reviews, and book chapters to his credit.
