This book offers readers details in application of high-frequency ultrasound in dermatology, a new method playing increasingly important roles in diagnosis of skin diseases. At first, chapters introduce anatomy and ultrasound features of normal skin. Then terminology, image quality, and artifact of dermatologic ultrasound are presented. After that, ultrasound features of benign and malignant skin tumors, inflammation, autoimmune disease, and traumas are described with diagnostic tips for specific disease. Huixiong Xu is a Professor at the Department of Medical Ultrasound, Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital,Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, School of Medicine, Tongji University &Department of Medical Ultrasound,Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, School of Medicine,Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China. 

Research fields: diagnostic and interventionalultrasound of superficial organs, contrast-enhanced ultrasound,ultrasound elastography, anddevelopment and application ofartificial intelligence ofin ultrasound images. 

He has cultivated more than 70 postdoctoral, doctoral and master students.He haschaired and participated in the preparation of nearly 20 domestic and foreignclinicalindustry guidelines and expert consensus,including.He and his team were invited by the president of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB)to write the WFUMB international guidelines for contrast-enhanced ultrasound of the liver, elastography of thyroid, and elastography of prostate.Heis also thePresident-in-elect ofUltrasoundBranch of Shanghai MedicalAssociation (SMA).He has publishedmore than 100articles in international journals such as Nature Communications,Advanced Materials, Advanced Science,Radiology, European Radiology, and so on.

Lehang Guo is an Attending PhysicianAssociate Professors at the Department of Medical Ultrasound, Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital, Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, School of Medicine,Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China. 

Research fields: diagnostic ultrasound of skindiseases,interventional ultrasound, tele-ultrasound,and development and application ofartificial intelligence ofin ultrasound images. 

He has chaired a project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in a number of major scientific research projects.He was alsoinvited to speak at the the 13th Congress of the Asian Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB 2018) (Seoul, Korea).He has published more than 20 articles in international journals such as European Radiology, Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, and so on. He has participated in the compilation of a monograph as one of editors.

Qiao Wang is an AttendingPhysicianAssociate Professors at the Department of Medical Ultrasound, Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital, Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, School of Medicine, Tongji University & Department of Medical Ultrasound, Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, School of Medicine, Tongji University, Shanghai, ChinaShanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China. 

Research field: diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound elastography of skin andmusculoskeletal diseases,contrast-enhanced ultrasound of superficial organs. 

She has chaired a project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, andparticipated in the compilation of a monograph as one of editors, and  awarded the title of 'Excellent Resident Physician in Shanghai'.She was also invited to speak at the 13th Congress of the Asian Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB 2018) (Seoul, Korea).She has published more than 10 articles in international journals such as European Radiology
