This book offers a selection of pertinent patient case-presentations in the field of rhinology, anterior skull base and facial plastics surgery. Marios Stavrakas is a Consultant ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon with a special interest in Rhinology and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base Surgery. He undertook sub specialty training in Rhinology, Anterior Skull Base Surgery in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth and in AMC, Amsterdam. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in research, surgical training development, and medical education. He also contributed chapters in 4 medical books and published30 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Professor Hisham Khalil is a Consultant Rhinologist and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base surgeon in University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. He is also the Head of the Peninsula Medical School, the University of Plymouth. He completed his Rhinology Fellowship in Fulda, Germany. Professor Khalil is a National Teaching Fellow and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Throughout his career, he has been committed to learning and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students and trainees in Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing. His research and quality improvement interests include outcomes research, surgery for nasal obstruction and management of sino-nasal tumours.
