Dr. Robert F. Heary is the Director of the Spine Center of New Jersey and one of the premier physicians in comprehensive spine care providing a full range of conservative and surgical interventions for a wide range of spinal disorders. He is also a Professor of Neurosurgery at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.
Dr. Heary is on the editorial boards of Neurosurgery, Clinical Spine Surgery, Spinal Deformity, and the Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine. He is an active member of many societies. Dr. Heary is a director-at-large on the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Board of Directors, a past Chair of the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine & Peripheral Nerves, the immediate Past-President of the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS), and he is the current President of the Lumbar Spine Research Society and incoming Vice-President of AANS
