WORRIED ABOUT BREAST CANCER? Be smart. Take off the pink ribbons; avoid mammograms; switch off of birth control drugs and progestin menopausal drugs; keep your vitamin D3 levels high; get rid of your excess body fat & high stress relationships now! Following Busting Breast Cancer's research-based 5 Simple Steps can help keep breast cancer out of your body. Each lifestyle change. Based on new and historic biological findings, known today as the metabolic theory of cancer, these five lifestyles can drop breast cancer risk by 50-80 percent. Funded by hundreds of small donations and several family foundations, Busting Breast Cancer is an independent study that encourages women to question most profit-focused cancer authorities, including the: American Cancer Society, National Academy of Medicine, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Planned Parenthood, and National Cancer Institute. The book's chapters also describe better ways to screen for, diagnose, and manage a breast cancer diagnosis. These new ways are more effective and much less toxic than today's highly-profitable smash, slash, poison and burn options that are always touted. Busting Breast Cancer also asks, 'Why are 30 to 40 percent of US women, who are treated for early-stage breast cancer, later diagnosed with recurrent deadly metastatic breast cancer? Why don't state cancer boards share this mandated data with the public? ' So many questions women now have. Busting Breast Cancer finally offers women hopeful answers.
Avoid mammograms. Switch off of birth control drugs and progestin menopausal drugs too. Lose your excess fat NOW! Stop holding onto those highly stressful jobs and relationships. Counterintuitive as these may seem, each is among Busting Breast Cancer's Five Simple Steps. Yes biologists now understand why one woman develops breast cancer, while another woman never will. Documented with thousands of scientific and statistical studies that together describe effective breast cancer prevention, Busting Breast Cancer is based on the recent understanding that cancer is a logical metabolic disease. Following these five steps can reduce your risk of breast cancer by 30 to 80 percent! Dr. Susan Wadia-Ells' twelve years of research, described in her shocking new book, fearlessly questions the presumed wisdom of most so-called authorities, including the: National Cancer Institute; American Cancer Society, National Academy of Medicine, and Susan G. Komen, as well as today's mainstream cancer centers. And why wouldn't we question their wisdom? At least 30 or 40 percent of US women treated for early-stage breast cancer today, go on to develop metastatic breast cancer...practically guaranteeing their early death. Physicians must report each recurrence to state registries. But you may be surprised to learn the industry and its federal partners keep these numbers hidden. Perhaps such statistics are just too embarrassing to share. Dr. Wadia-Ells does not pussyfoot around. A journalist with graduate degrees in political economy and women's studies, she wants women to take charge and stop today's unnecessary breast cancer epidemic. Reviewing thousands of studies while researching this book, she discovered the 2012 landmark textbook, Cancer as a Metabolic Disease; On the Origin, Management and Prevention of Cancer, by Boston College biologist Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried. Here, the eminent geneticist lays out the first complete biological explanation of how a person's first cancer cell develops. Medical schools do not yet teach this knowledge; it would disrupt today's medical, pharmaceutical and radiology industries' highly profitable treatments. The billions invested in genetic-based cancer research studies and start-ups would be lost overnight. But individual women must understand that effective prevention is now possible for each of us! Take off the pink ribbons. Stop running for the cure. Keep your vitamin D3 above 60 ng/ml. Get rid of the carbs. Practice daily meditation. Use clean cosmetics. Stop suffocating your breast cells' power batteries...your fragile mitochondria. Take charge! Only you can stop that first breast cancer cell before, or as, it begins to develop. Busting Breast Cancer aims to stop this unnecessary epidemic ASAP. The book's final chapter proposes seven political action steps: women must demands the FDA again allow affordable $30 hormone-free medical devices (IUDs) on the US market; federal money must be spent to educate women on the benefit of breast self-exams; federal insurance laws much stop promoting and/or covering the cost of screening mammograms to the exclusion of less-dangerous and more-accurate breast screening options: whole- breast ultrasound technology for both screenings and diagnostic testing, SureTouch high resolution screening elastography for clinical exams and annual early-prevention thermography. Today's multibillion-dollar cancer industry has too much financial incentive to abandon its misguided research and its expensive toxic treatments. Who can change the course of breast cancer prevention and end this unnecessary breast cancer epidemic? Only YOU can! Only individual women have the self-interest to do it. And now, with Busting Breast Cancer, you'll have the knowledge, too.

INTRODUCTION
OUR UNNECESSARY BREAST CANCER EPIDEMIC
This is a book about women taking charge of our own health. It’s also a book that finally offers women a recipe for effective breast cancer prevention. So, this is a book you should read.
In 2012, the metabolic approach to cancer was first brought to light through the publication of Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried’s landmark work, Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management and Prevention of Cancer. Until this time, neither biologists nor doctors had ever been given a complete scientific understanding of why one woman develops breast cancer while another woman never does. Previously, oncologists and breast surgeons could do little more than smile weakly and tell a woman, “Maybe it was just your turn,” or “I guess you were just the unlucky one.”
And there wasn’t much that women themselves could do. They could run for the cause or wear pink headscarves over their bald heads and try to put on a brave smile. It was sad, but true. Oncologists and breast surgeons had no biologically based answers for our most burning questions:
“Why me?”
“How did I develop breast cancer?”
“How can I get rid of it—and prevent it from coming back again?”
Today, we finally understand. And it’s the kind of understanding that makes everything look different than it did before—like discovering that the earth isn’t flat, after all! Today, we take it for granted that the earth is round; and one day, we’ll take for granted these newfound insights into how cancer works. But for now, it’s all still new.
What’s new? Biologists have finally put together all the pieces of this cancer puzzle. We’re finally able to trace the logical, straightforward, biological path a healthy breast cell takes as it moves forward…or backwards. Thanks to these biologists, people like you and me can actually understand how and why a normal, healthy cell is able to turn itself into that first destructive cancer cell.
In his groundbreaking 2012 textbook, Dr. Seyfried lays out this revolutionary approach to cancer. Drawing on dozens of published, peer-reviewed laboratory and clinical studies spanning the past century, Dr. Seyfried finally makes sense out of the development of that first cancer cell. Armed with this information, individual cancer patients, medical schools, healthcare practitioners, and both government and private organizations can now work together to stop today’s worldwide cancer epidemic from continuing at its terrifying pace. Published by the leading medical and scientific publishing house John Wiley & Sons, Dr. Seyfried’s book has now put mainstream cancer centers on notice. It’s time to change the way they do business.
Today, in the US alone, there is no longer a need for 1,600 people to die each day from cancer. Today, in the US alone, there is no longer a need for untold thousands more individuals to die each day from heart attacks, blood diseases, lung infections, liver failure, and suicides—too often the tragic side effects of today’s toxic, mutilating, and misinformed cancer treatments. One of our many imperfect sources of national breast cancer statistics tells us that an estimated 276,480 new invasive breast tumors will be diagnosed in an unknown number of women in 2020; while another 48,550 women will be told, based on their mammogram report, that they have atypical cells in one or more ducts of their breast tissue, called stage 0 breast cancer, and urged to begin invasive breast cancer treatment.1 Another national database puts the total number of women diagnosed in 2017 with invasive breast cancer cases at 350,000, with stage 0 or in situ cases at 84,367.2 All of these women are then encouraged to begin toxic treatments for invasive breast cancer.
Clinicians treating metastatic breast cancer patients in the US sometimes share another national statistic that is not yet well publicized: the estimated number of women each year who are treated for an early-stage invasive breast cancer diagnosis (stages I, II, and III) who suffer a recurrence of their original diagnosis. One statistic from this recurrence group that stands out, above all, is the number of women treated who go on to develop metastatic breast cancer within months, years or decades.
As numerous clinical studies tell us, “Despite advances in the treatment of breast cancer, approximately 20–40% of women initially diagnosed with earlier stages of breast cancer eventually develop recurrent advanced or metastatic disease.”3 Metastatic or stage IV breast cancer is the terminal stage of this disease. This means that 3 women in every 10 who are treated in the US today for an early-stage invasive breast cancer will receive an early death sentence. These are horrific odds.
In 2019, an estimated 41,760 women in the US died from this stage 4 disease.4 Estimates for earlier years, and for 2020, all show similar reported breast cancer mortality figures.5 Today’s “slash, burn and poison”6 approach to breast cancer treatment (as breast cancer surgeon Dr. Susan Love has long described it) is not doing a very good job of protecting many breast cancer patients’ long-term optimal health. Today’s mainstream toxic treatments must be seen for what they are: outdated, simply not good enough. Yes, it is certainly best to find ways to stop breast cancer before it can develop in your body.
Busting Breast Cancer, the book you are holding, is a book for every woman. That’s because Busting Breast Cancer describes the ground-breaking metabolic approach to cancer in easy-to-understand terms. The five simple lifestyle changes, based on this modern-day approach to understanding cancer and described in the pages ahead, are simple daily habits that can keep our metabolism, our bodies’ operating systems, moving forward in such a way as to effectively keep breast cancer from beginning to develop in our bodies. Who knew?
Many of the studies you’ll read about in this book make it clear how, once a sufficient number of women in the US are following these five prevention steps, the incidence of breast cancer in our country can decrease by anywhere from 50 to 80 percent. Take a moment to take that in: It’s possible for individual women to reduce the incidence of breast cancer in the United States by 50 to 80 percent! That’s astounding. Sadly, however, there is a major obstacle: a woman’s internal resistance to change. It’s that resistance that will make some of you read about these prevention steps, slam the book shut, and walk away.
Are you someone who doesn’t like to rock the boat? Are you someone who becomes really uncomfortable when asked to question authority? Is change difficult for you? Are you someone who’s afraid to take action or to speak up? If so, Busting Breast Cancer may be a real challenge.
I mention this fact because Busting Breast Cancer calls into question some of what you’ve believed in, up to this point. This book will show the outdated, incorrect, even damaging information that’s coming out of such trusted institutions as the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Planned Parenthood, the National Cancer Institute, the National Academy of Medicine and even the US Department of Agriculture’s “food pyramid.” That’s going to be hard to digest.
In her best-selling book, Women, Food and God, Geneen Roth writes about “The Voice.” If you’re like most women, then you know “The Voice” only too well. It’s that internal critic that never seems very far away. It always comes alive when it’s time to try something new; something daring, something exhilarating, something possibly even lifesaving—like the lifestyle changes you’ll read about in this book.
So, you’ve been warned: as you learn new things in the pages ahead, “The Voice” is going to tell you to put the book down and stick with what’s familiar. I hope you won’t do that. Because what’s familiar isn’t working—far too many women are developing and dying every day from a disease they don’t have to have. I hope you’ll tell “The Voice” to be quiet and let you read on, discovering the basics of this new metabolic, transparent and lifestyle-based understanding of cancer.
Once you’ve read through Chapter 1, it might become much easier to make your own decisions about how best to protect yourself from developing that first breast cancer cell. By the time you finish reading this book, I hope you’ll also understand why every woman must stop being passive when it comes to the possibility of developing breast cancer. I hope you’ll come to see why each of us can—and must—take control of our own health. And that means changing many of our daily habits. In their place, you’ll learn to substitute new habits that will keep...
