From the bestselling author of The End of Alzheimer's, this book is a revolutionary new approach to prevent the onset of neurodegenerative disease and sustain brain health for life.
There are approximately 55 million people living with dementia around the world. It is estimated that this number will rise to 139 million by 2050. And it isn't just the elderly who are affected; diagnosis rates are rising in younger adults, with women at a higher risk than men. For many, especially those with a genetic predisposition, this fate has seemed inevitable. Until now.
In his bestselling book, The End of Alzheimer's, Dr Dale Bredesen has shown how we can reverse the symptoms of Alzheimer's and dementia, and now he wants to show everyone how to prevent this devastating illness from developing in the first place.
In The Ageless Brain, Dr Bredesen will share cutting-edge science on neurodegeneration, including how misunderstandings of the disease have hindered our efforts to treat it. Most importantly, he will share his preventative program that readers of all ages can put into practice straight away. This plan will empower all of us to optimise our cognitive health and live well into old age.
If you want to stay sharp and have a vibrant mind for life, this book is essential reading.
