Alessandro Franchi is Professor of Pathology at the University of Pisa, Italy. Since the beginning of his career as a surgical pathologist, he has focused his interest in the field of Head and Neck Pathology, co-authoring seventy papers on the subject published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as several contributions in the new edition of the WHO Classification of Tumours of the Head and Neck published by IARC in 2017. Additionally, he served as Chairman of the Head and Neck Working Group of the European Society of Pathology for the years 2015–17.
