The AAP is the largest pediatric publisher in the world, with a diverse list of resources that includes essential clinical and practice management titles and award-winning books for parents. Carol J. Baker, MD, FAAP, is executive director of the Center for Vaccine Awareness and Research at Texas Children's Hospital and professor of pediatrics and of molecular virology and microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She also serves as chair of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Dr Baker received her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Baylor and was an infectious diseases fellow both at Baylor and Harvard Medical School.
