Written for ophthalmology specialists and residents, this new edition presents many aspects of facial cosmetic surgery, including lacrimal anatomy, nasolacrimal duct disorders, canaliculitis, and canalicular involving eyelid laceration.Dr. Nesi is board certified in Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), which indicates that he has special training and expertise in the subspecialty of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He currently serves as Chief of Oculolplastic Surgery at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He also holds a faculty appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Nesi is interested in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, tearducts and orbit. Dr. Nesi is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). Dr. Black is board certified in Ophthalmology and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is Director of the Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Surgery service at Kresge Eye Institute and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Black is the immediate past president of Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (MiSEPS) and is a nationally published textbook and journal article author, lecturing nationally and internationally on ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Black specializes in all areas of reconstructive, cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery, as well as tear duct surgery and orbital surgery. He has pioneered an innovative, successful technique for treating severe lower lid edema. Dr. Geoffrey Gladstone is certified by and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). This indicates that he has specific training and expertise in this subspecialty. He is also certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Gladstone has been in practice in the Detroit area since 1983 and is currently the co-Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital, Professor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University- William Beaumont School of Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University. He is also the author of numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Gladstone is interested in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face. He has pioneered new methods of endoscopic surgery for tearing problems, and uses the most advanced endoscopic and laser techniques available.
