Martin W. Bergmann, MD, FESC is an interventional cardiologist at Cardiologicum Hamburg, Germany. He received his interventional training at Charité Berlin and served as deputy of Karl-Heinz Kuck at the Cardiology department St. Georg Hospital/Hamburg from 2008 to 2014. He has a special interest in complex PCI and structural heart interventions. Regarding LAA closure, he headed the program at St. Georg starting in 2009 with several papers and presentation´s at the leading interventional courses in Europe and the US since these early days. He serves as faculty to both EuroPCR and TCT.
Apostolos Tzikas, MD, PhD, FESC is a structural heart interventionalist at AHEPA University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He has a long-standing interest in LAA closure; he published the first multi-center, large-scale registry regarding the ACP occluder and was the leading author of the Munich consensus document on definitions and clinical endpoints for LAA closure studies. He has a PhD in interventional cardiology (The role of advanced imaging in TAVI) from the Thoraxcenter, Rotterdam and he is an experienced clinical proctor for St Jude Medical in TAVI and LAA closure. He has served as faculty to TCT, EuroPCR and other international meetings with presentations on LAA implantation techniques and troubleshooting.
Nina Wunderlich, MD is a cardiologist at Cardio-Darmstadt/Germany. For several years, she headed the imaging group at the Cardiovascular Center Frankfurt (Prof. Horst Sievert). She is a leader in structural heart imaging with numerous papers, book chapters as well as regular presentations at the international meetings. She serves as faculty to both EuroPCR and TCT.
