The aim of this reference work is to outline tests given to children to facilitate diagnosis of both common and rare haematological conditions. Emphasis is placed on case studies at the end of each chapter which can be used as a framework for the investigation of possible haematological disorders.
The investigation of children with haematological abnormalities must be treated separately from adults with the same condition, as sampling techniques and the sequence of investigations differ. The aim of this reference work is to outline the appropriate tests given to children to facilitate diagnosis of both common and rare haematological conditions.
