The atlas provides a visual handbook for trainees in pathology, as well as a work of reference for senior pathologists, and for endoscopists, surgeons and gastroenterologists who wish to learn about the very varied morphological appearances found in the gastrointestinal tract. A knowledge of gastrointestinal pathology is an essential prerequisite for all who practise gastroenterology.
