From a registered dietician and at the Cleveland Clinic and a renowned liver disorder specialist: a detailed overview of our most important organ, the liver, with tools and strategies to boost liver function and prevent liver disease (which affects up to 30% of Americans), including an easy-to-follow diet plan complete with liver-loving recipes for true detox and overall wellness.
Hand in hand with the obesity epidemic is a silent crisis impacting one-third of the United States: nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). And because its symptoms often don't manifest until it becomes serious, many people don't even know they are at risk. In The Liver Reset Solution, Kristin Kirkpatrick, manager of Wellness Nutrition Services at the Cleveland Clinic, and renowned hepatologist Dr. Ibrahim Hanouneh provide tools and strategies for healing and protecting one of our most vital organs. Part wake-up call, part call-to-action, this book presents an authoritative and accessible guide to the factors that threaten our livers, our waistlines, and our lives-as well as what we can do to reverse liver disease, lose weight, and safeguard our overall health.

Kristin Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, LD, is the manager of Wellness Nutrition Services at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, where she oversees nutrition-related services at the centre for Lifestyle Medicine. She received her B.A. from George Washington University, her master's degree (in health promotion management) from American University, and her dietetics training from the University of Akron. Ibrahim Hanouneh, MD, completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic.
