This innovative new manual provides both new and experienced clinicians with a single resource for specific therapy techniques and materials for intervention with a wide range of communication disorders. "An excellent resource for inexperienced and experienced clinicians alike".--ASHA Leader.
The standard text for clinical methods courses is now updated and expanded to serve as the comprehensive single resource for specific therapy techniques for a wide variety of communication disorders, covering children and adults. Organized in two main sections, the manual covers the basic principles of speech-language intervention and information reporting systems as well as therapy strategies. Finally, a chapter on practical suggestions for effective parent and family counseling helps pull it all together in an especially useful manner. As more and more speech-language pathologists work privately and more independently, this manual serves as an aide to help supplement their knowledge when immediate consultation with colleagues is not available.
