Vaughan Keeley has been a Consultant in Palliative Medicine in Derby, UK since 1989. He set up the lymphoedema service in Derby in 1990 and, more recently, services in Nottingham and Mansfield. The services treat patients with all types of chronic oedema, including that in children. He works with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. For the last two years he has worked full time in lymphoedema.He chairs the BLS/LSN (Lymphoedema Support Network) Consensus group which has produced guidelines on the management of cellulitis in lymphoedema. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Lymphoedema, a director of the International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF) and a medical advisor to the Lymphoedema Support Network (Patient Support Group). Mary Woods is a qualified nurse with 17 years of clinical experience in the care of patients with secondary lymphoedema.
