Ian M. Macfarlane, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He has taught courses in research design, measurement, and statistics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and supervised numerous student researchers. He has co-authored a number of research articles on genetic counseling and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Genetic Counseling. Patricia McCarthy Veach, PhD, LP, is Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She has authored over 100 articles and book chapters. She co-authored Facilitating the Genetic Counseling Process: A Advanced Concepts and Skills, and is Assistant Editor of the Journal of Genetic Counseling. She is a member of the University of Minnesota Academy of Distinguished Teachers. Bonnie S. LeRoy, MS, CGC, is Professor and Director of the Graduate Program of Study in Genetic Counseling at the University of Minnesota. She has co-authored multiple articles and chapters on a variety of issues pertaining to genetic counseling, is co-author of Facilitating the Genetic Counseling Process: A Practice Manual, co-editor of Genetic Counseling Practice: Advanced Concepts and Skills, and Editor of the Journal of Genetic Counseling. She is a member of the University of Minnesota Academy of Distinguished Teachers and past president of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
