Markus Rothschild, geboren 1962 in Berlin, studierte Humanmedizin an der Freien Universität Berlin, in Hong Kong und Nord-Borneo. Seit 1998 arbeitete er im Auftrag des UN-Kriegsverbrechertribunals wiederholt in Bosnien-Herzegovina und im Kosovo, um Massengräber zu untersuchen. Heute leitet er das Institut für Rechtsmedizin der Universität Köln.
