Intraepithelial neoplasia (IEN) are some kind of preinvasive lesions. The definition and identification of intraepithelial neoplasia is exceedingly important for early diagnosis and prevention of malignancy. Prof. Dr. med. Maode Lai is one of the most widely respected pathologists in China. He is vice president of Zhejiang University and Chairman-elect of the Chinese Society of Pathology. His major work is focused on molecular pathology of tumors, especially colorectal cancer.

Prof. Dr. med. Maode Lai is a famous pathologist in China and chairman elected of Chinese society of Pathology. He got the M.D. degree in Pathology from Luebeck Medical University, Germany in 1990 and has kept close contact with German leading pathologists since then. Now his major work is focused on molecular pathology of tumor, especially colorectal cancer.
