James O Armitage MD FRCP is The Joe Shapiro Professor of Internal Medicine, Section of Hematology & Oncology, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA. He was President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology 1996-1997 and the President of the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation 2000-2001. Martine Piccart-Gebhart MD PhD is Professor of Oncology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Director of the Medicine Department at the Institut Jules Bordet, Brussels, Belgium. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology board and the President of European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer.
