Illysa Foster is a practicing homebirth midwife and owner of Sisters Midwifery, Inc. She holds a master's degree in Human Development and Education (University of Texas) and is certified by the North American Registry of Midwives. Prior to becoming a midwife, Illysa served as adjunct faculty at Austin Community College. She has worked to develop curricula for the Association of Texas Midwives and is now a peer evaluator for the Midwifery Education and Accreditation Council.
