About the Author John Rullan has been teaching at Thomas Edison High School in Jamaica, New York for the past 13 years and has been a part of the Cisco Networking Academy since 1998. He is the director of the Cisco Academy for the New York City Department of Education and is the citywide trainer. He provides support to the academy community and has presented at academy conferences throughout the country while working on the Instructional Support and Curriculum Maintenance teams. He also has taught CCNA, CCNP, and network security for the Borough of Manhattan Community College since 2000. He currently holds the Network+, CCNA, CCNP, and CCAI certifications.   About the Contributing Author Sonya Coker received her undergraduate degree in secondary education from the University of South Alabama. She worked in the public school system for five years as a Title 1 Project Coordinator serving at-risk students. She joined the Cisco Academy program in 1998 when she started a local CCNA Academy at Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. She now works as a full-time developer in the Cisco Networking Academy program. She has worked on a variety of Academy curriculum projects, including CCNA, CCNP, Fundamentals of Wireless LANs, and Network Security. She has taught instructor training classes throughout the world.
