Unlike most books, Special Edition Using Microsoft Office Project 2007 was not written by an individual, but rather a group of experts from QuantumPM, LLC (QPM). The authors are undeniable experts; they have used Microsoft Project within their organization and have helped hundreds of customers understand and use this software. In addition, the QPM team works closely with the Microsoft team to support the rollout of the product and to provide input for future versions.   QuantumPM, LLC is a project, program, and portfolio management product and services firm that helps its clients create pragmatic and valuable solutions to address real-world problems. QuantumPM services include management consulting, technical consulting, training, hosting services, earned value management, and business intelligence solutions. To this end, QPM works closely with Microsoft, Inc., as a Gold Certified Partner, and with the Project Management Institute, as a Registered Education Provider and active participant in standards development and various local chapter activities. These partnerships allow QuantumPM, LLC to provide state-of-the-art products and services to its customers. This book was written using a different approach than a lot of other books. In addition to the authoring team, several subject matter experts (SMEs) provided their expertise and guidance on the various aspects of the content.
