Organized on 13th–15th December 2023, The 14th Annual International Research Conference of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, (SIMSARC 2023) is based on the theme “Securing the Future through Sustainability, Health, Education and Technology”. It focuses on the need for a holistic approach to address the present challenges of the world while envisioning a resilient and prosperous tomorrow. It discusses the interconnections between Sustainability, Health, Education and Technology in fostering long-term well-being and addresses challenges and future opportunities.
Rajiv Divekar is Dean, Faculty of Management of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and Director of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, India. He has completed his MBA with specialization in Human Resource Management and holds experience of strategy, planning, logistics and human resource management based on his service with multinational teams as part of United Nations Force in both Somalia and Lebanon. His teaching areas include Strategy, Human Resource and Leadership. Komal Chopra is Associate Professor of Marketing at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. His teaching areas include Retail Management, Consumer Behaviour, and Essentials of Marketing. He has also conducted management development programmes for Godrej & Boyce, Wipro, John Deere, Cognizant and Directorate General of Resettlement, Government of India. Pravin Dange is Associate Professor of Marketing and Strategy at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, India. His research interests include Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Higher Education. He is an agricultural engineer and has handled varied profiles in the past – including teaching, academic administration, and consultancy. Smita Mehendale is Assistant Professor with Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. She specializes in diverse functions like finance, marketing and HR and has also worked in the manufacturing and service sector and consultancy. Her teaching areas include Research Methodology, Retail Management and Marketing Research.
