Mobile computing is a new paradigm. It results from advances in wireless network technologies and the emergence of increasingly popular mobile devices and terminals. This book aims to provide an understanding of mobile computing, describing the fundamental concepts of ubiquitous computing and nomadic computing, their contribution to the daily lives of their users, the reasons for their emergence. The book also presents an overview of middleware technologies for mobile environments, security management and application cooperation in mobile distributed systems. Security and privacy are essential challenges in mobile computing. The book is intended for undergraduate and introductory postgraduate courses. It can also be used in a self-taught way.

Autor

N'guessan, Désiré Désiré N'guessan holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in computer science. He has a PhD in computer engineering with a concentration area in digital systems, from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - USP/Brazil. He is currently a professor at FATECSCS where he worked in the research group and congregation. He has experience in the area of mobile computing
