Rapid IT development has created modern business proposals such as digital and virtual currencies, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, mobile banking, online investing and new payment systems. This allows organisations and firms to increase competitiveness by using financial products and services, thus increasing their value. Information technology users receive significant timesaving and a choice of investment options. At the same time, there is a new challenge for regulators who must monitor how this or that technology affects the financial sector.

The authors have collected and systematised information on the models of using information technology in e-business as well as issues of applying information technology in smart organisations and public institutions. The book addresses the issues of risk management in organizations and the problems of personal and social risks resulting from the use of information technology. In addition, the book presents a review of e-commerce sectors and models as well as e-commerce tools, international payment systems and modern money systems. Risks, threats and security rules for using banking services, e-commerce and payment systems are reviewed and systematised.

Anna Brzozowska is an associate professor in economics, in the discipline of management studies. Currently, she works in the Department of BuAnna Brzozowska is associate professor in economics, in discipline of management studies. Currently she works in Department of Business Informatics and Ecosystems, Faculty of Management, at Czestochowa University of Technology, Poland. She is the author or co-author of about 160 scientific publications. She actively participated in over 30 conferences, mainly international, as well as in few research projects. She is the editor of EUREKA journal: Social and Humanities, and the editor of selected editions of Research Bulletin of the Technical University of Częstochowa. She is also a Scientific Committee member of Economics, Management and Sustainability Scientific Journal. Anna Brzozowska is a member of the scientific discipline of management and quality science at the Faculty of Management. He is also a member of the habilitation committees established by the Central Commission for degrees and titles. Research activities of Anna Brzozowska are focused on enterprise management processes and the integration chain, its logistics aspects and institutional environment, influencing management in the light of integration activities that oscillate around the use and management of EU projects. These issues develop systematically by conducting research, participating in thematic groups and research and development teams as well as through cooperation with business and local and regional authorities. Her main research and study is the broadly defined concept of management in agribusiness and the European Union integration processes; IT in business; Managing projects; Organization of management, logistics, and transport processes. Her scientific interests are also focused on the management of organizational culture in the international aspect. Dagmara Bubel is Ph.D. in Humanities, Professor of Sciences in Economics, Director of the Main Library of Częstochowa University of Technology, Poland. Her interests, both theoretical, empirical and in the application area, concentrated around the issues of intellectual capital management in organizations. As the concept of intellectual capital management regards people as the most valuable potential of an enterprise, directly related to its strategy, in this respect, she conducted analysis of selected aspects of the functioning of small and medium-sized enterprises. Initially, her scientific studies addressed the problems of the following issues: management in organizations. Larysa Nekrasenko is an Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance in Poltava State Agrarian University, Ukraine. Her main courses: Information Systems and Technologies in Finance; Payment Systems; Budgeting of Business Entities. She has two monographs and two textbooks to study information systems in business and finance. Her main researches are Information Systems and Technologies in Finance; Payment Systems; Budgeting of Business Entities; E-commerce; Agricultural Logistics. She headed the educational research laboratory of the Department of Finance and Credit. She was responsible for the assigned duties of conducting laboratory and practical work using specialized software to study business processes. Her main scientific interest is Information Systems and Technologies in Finance; Payment Systems; E-commerce. She has worked in several research projects and presented the results on international conferences, in various journals and books. She has 69 publications. She is the co-author of two monographs, 2 handbooks for higher education students that have a stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She got a “Special Prize” from VoxUkraine and publication on the blog the article “The environmental tax policy in Ukraine and Sweden”.
